    Not a Bash, just dissapointed

I'm not here to bash Heartland but after three years of problems we decided it was time to sell and move on. In April of 2011 we purchased a North Trail 32BUDS. Within the first couple of weeks we started having problems. The worst of the problems was the main slide quit working. The dealer had...

    Worried North Country Owner

We bought our North Trail April 2010 and had a number of problems. Fortunately Heartland customer service and our dealer were great to work with. Our unit was in about 4 times through that first year. Since everything was fixed we have not had any problems. We use our trailer often and go South...

Considering a 2013 HL NT 32BUDS Caliber Edition

We have a 2011 32BUDS and love it. We bought it in April 2010 and had our share of problems but everything was fixed and it's been a great trailer. We definatly would go with Heartland again when we decide to get another RV. We have 9 grandchildren and camp constantly with them. We pull it...

    Dually Daily Driver??

We bought our 2002 3500 Chevy dully new and use it constantly. I was still working the first two years I had it and parked it in a parking lot. Now we use it all the time and think nothing of it. We do like parking it out a bit in a parking lot just to keep anyone from door dinging it. The more...

    Welcome Newest HOC Wa Members

Welcome. Hope you enjoy your Heartland as much as we do. We too are from Olympia and now live by Shelton and are proud owners of a North Trail. We enjoyed our first Washington Rally in 2011 but were not able to attend the 2012 rally. Might see you at the next one.

    Replacement Bedding

Lisa, This is our 5th new RV and with each we put the original in a storage bag. Then we bought standard sheets, blankets, and bedspread of our choice. We always kept the original bed covering so we can put them back on when we sold or traded in our units, that way it all looks original.

    Touch audio system

I did find a Jensen radio, DVD, CD etc. player that looks to be about the same size. The only thing I'm not sure of is if the wire harness would work. I guess I need to call Jensen. It looks like a good replacement if it works. The other factor is it runs in the 300 dollar range.

    Touch audio system

I have a 32BUDS, has anyone found another unit that will fit in the hole and replace the touch unit? After 2 years mine will not play DVD's and the touch portion will not work at all, only the remote.

    Touch Radio, DVD player Etc.

I've been on the forum since April 2010. I've seen a lot of post about the touch DVD player, many people very unhappy with them. I have a 32 BUDS and ours has worked part of the time. Now it will not play a DVD. Has anyone found a good DVD player that will fit in the small area that the touch...

Looking for a cover to put on a 32BUDS

I bought the same cover as Marge. It just went through it's second winter and with all of the rain, ice storm and wind it has held up really well. The trailer seems nice and dry under the cover. The only thing I found is it's good to pad the back top corners so it will not rip the fabric.

    Prospective owner

I have a 32BUDS and I pull with a 1 ton duramax. Most of the time I almost forget it's back there until it comes to mountain passes. The truck is definitely doing it's job, I'd hate to have anything less than a 3/4 ton. We were in 40 mph steady winds today with gust to who knows what, was sure...

    Equil-i-zer Hitch Pins

When I changed trailers I had the dealer do the truck and trailer measurements. The bracket that the hitch pins go into had to be changed in height by two hole to make it correct. So when changing truck or trailer it's a good idea to check for correct installation.

    Equil-i-zer Hitch Pins

I'm into my third year with equil-i-zer and have not seen any bend with the hitch pins. If your not adjusted correctly and there isn't enough tension the main tension bars may be able to hit the pin hard when turning. Cannot see anything else that would bent them.

    Do You Ever Drive Ahead

We usually use rvparkreviews.com along with google maps. Most reviews tell it like it is and so far have pretty much been right on. With maps it's easy to see how close the park is to industry, railroad tracks or highways. If we don't have reservations and the park does not look to good we have...

Prospective owner questions for the 32BUDS, Caliber Edition

We have a 32 BUDS. I pull with a 1 ton and it does fine. The reason for the 1 ton is we used to have a 36 foot 5th wheeler with three slides, very heavy. You can almost forget the BUDS back there until you start going over mountains. It does great but you know it's slowing you down. Last summer...

    Bedside Drawers

So you have to ask, why would you put two holes on each side of the bed? I'm sure someone had a good idea. I never could figure out why so I too make drawers. It sure gives nice storage. It would be nice if Heartland would come out with drawers.

    32Buds on the radar...

We have had our 32BUDS for two years now and love it. We travel a lot and I really enjoy the ease of towing and it responds quickly when backing. We have 9 grandchildren and the size really works. Last year we had 7 of us while visiting Disneyland. It was not crowded and of course RVing was...

How important would an outside kitchen be to you?

We have had our 32BUDS for two years this month. We loved the floor plan as we have 9 grandchildren but we were not looking for an outside kitchen. It would be hard to not have one once you have it. The extra refrigerator is priceless and we do lots of cooking using the outside kitchen. I bought...

    pull out bike rack

We use our rack often. I use bungee cords. I also pad between the bikes and fasten a bungee around the bikes and through the screw eye on the vertical rod. I then put a bungee through the wheels and round hole on the side of the try. I do this to the front and back tires. We have traveled well...

    Moving out

When we went full time we moved everything into storage. After 6 months we knew we liked the lifestyle and if we went back to a house we would want new furniture. pulling a 32buds

I pull my 32BUDS with a chev. 1 ton diesel. Most of the time I don't know it's back there but when I'm pulling over the mountains and going back down I'm glad I have the extra horse power and weight. I would be comfortable pulling with a 3/4 ton but 1/2 ton could be a bit under powered in the...

    A few modifications 32 BUDS

Great pictures, I would have never thought about insulating and enlarging the opening. We lived in our 5th wheel for two years and it was always annoying to have to turn up the TV every time the furnace kicked on. This looks like something I'll have to try this spring. Thank you

    A few modifications 32 BUDS

TeJay I put felt stick on pads on the bottom of the drawers in the bedroom. They slide in and very nicely but never move in transit. The two large drawers are a different story. Although they do have locks the drawers tend to slide out in transit. I put a screw eye in the foot area of the...

Here's a few modifications. I added two drawers under the dinette seating. These are full three foot drawers.
