(Solved) Only Luke Warm Water on LPG

Re: Only Luke Warm Water on LPG Burner tube/orifice seem to be ok, the valve doesn't allow the gas to flow even with 12v to the solenoids. I've ordered a new valve through Amazon, will report back as soon as it arrives and I get the chance to change it out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

(Solved) Only Luke Warm Water on LPG

Re: Only Luke Warm Water on LPG Thanks for all the suggestions, I've gone through everything suggested a couple of days ago except checking the burner tube/orifice. I had it off a couple of months ago to replace the 120v heating element and it looked fine then, but haven't used it on LPG since...

(Solved) Only Luke Warm Water on LPG

Suburban 12 gal DSI works perfect on 120v. When I switch to LPG it goes through the normal lighting sequence and starts up; operates for a few minutes and once the water is luke warm it shuts down, goes through the lighting sequence again without lighting up and the small red light on the...

    Buzzing sound from water heater

Replaced the check valve on back of HWH last summer in our 2011 BH 3670 while in Washington state due to a leak. Replaced it with a brass unit from a RV dealership parts dept and have had a slight buzz when using the hot water since that day. The buzz is slightly noticeable from the bathroom...

    Interior Wood Finish

We are the proud original owners of 2011 BH 3670 with the oak interior wood finish. We full-time and through repeated cleaning and contact with water, in a couple of places the finish is starting to wear/fade. What type, brand and color of finish is used as we'd like to touch it up and keep it...

    Pulling a 5th Wheel with a RamBox

I talked with a Ram Truck Rep who said Ram does not recommend the RamBox with a traditional 5th wheel hitch. Only option would be to convert the Bighorn to a gooseneck but Heartland strongly discourages that so I'll just stick with a regular bed. Thanks for all your replies.

    Pulling a 5th Wheel with a RamBox

Vangoes, That's exactly what I'm concerned about. I like the idea of the RamBox and I really like the B&W Companion hitch. Just don't want to order or purchase one to find out it won't work with our Bighorn; especially since we full-time and only have one vehicle.

    Pulling a 5th Wheel with a RamBox

Thanks, I'll check the width of my hitch. We use a B&W and it doesn't use rails so maybe it will work. Anyone else with experience please chime in.

    Pulling a 5th Wheel with a RamBox

Tool boxes built into the side of the bed, very nice but you do loose some bed space outside the wheel wells.

    Pulling a 5th Wheel with a RamBox

Am considering a 2013 Ram 3500 MegaCab SWB SRW and like the idea of the RamBox. RamBox is not available with the 5th Wheel Prep Package so maybe the RamBox does not provide enough clearance for a 5th Wheel hitch, anyone have experience with this?

    Banks Speed Brake

Just returned fro a 2500 mile trip through the Southeastern States; even though there are no Rocky Mountain type mountain passes the Speed Brake worked just as avertised and makes pulling (actually stopping) a big 5th wheel a much more pleasing task. I opted the cheap route and only got the...

To those considering a Heartland Bighorn

We ordered a 2011 BH 3670 last March and took delivery in May and have been full timing since and putting approximately 5k miles on the BH. This is our 7th RV but our first Heartland, we've had a couple of minor issues which I've taken care of myself after getting the repair parts mailed to me...

    Electric Awnings

Blue Owner's bag, that's a new one for me. What's susposed to be in the bag? I might have to call Heartland as I didn't get one of those and would really like to have the strap for when the awning motor fails.

    Piezo Stove lighter

Ok, finally got around to taking some pics of the finished product. The pic quality is not very good due to the lighting and the wife was using the oven during the time so I had to make it snappy. I've made a couple of changes to the original install, I made a pseudo battery out of wood and...

    3585/3670RL Owners Question

To each his own, but we really like our our 2011 built before the changes. The 32in Sharp tv does a good job of being visible from the sofa and the recliner closest to the sofa which is where I and the wife sit so it's not a problem for us; and we definately wouldn't want to give up the nice...

    Banks Speed Brake

I've had mine installed for a couple of weeks now and even though I haven't towed with it yet, I've been testing it out as best I can while unloaded. All I can say is it works as advertised and I think it will make a world of difference while towing.

    Piezo Stove lighter

OK, finished the project today; but it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. The spark generator was simply too big to fit the front panel of the Magic Chief range in our BH. The gas manifold in the Magic Chief runs directly behind the front panel and was in the way; the only way to mount it...

    Piezo Stove lighter

Will do, they arrived today but I can't get around to installing them until early nex week. I have some additional ideas on the installation, it they work out I'll post along with photos.

Spotted some on ebay last night and snapped em up. Wife and Mother-in-law can't wait until they arrive and I put them in. Hope they work as advertised.

    Piezo Stove lighter

When I showed my wife this post she wanted me to order the parts ASAP, has anyone found a source to get the right ignitor. I'm ready to order several for our 5th wheel, our travel trailer and a couple for the in-law's rigs. Lighting the oven has to be one of the most annoying things about RVing.

    Table question

We ordered our 2011 3670 in March (took delivery in May) and the table was unavailable then. Just happened the wife's parents who also full time in a 5th wheel had an extra oak end table that matched our interior. Don't know where the got it but it fits perfectly. I believe it to be RV...

    3/4 Ton Truck Owners Survey

We pull a 2011 Big Horn 3670 with a 07 Chevy 2500 Classic with the Duramax/Allison SB/CC. The BH is about 14800 lbs overall with 3100 lbs of that on the pin. We're a little bit over the rating of the truck, but it does a great job. We use air bags to help with the pin weight and I just added...

    Banks Speed Brake

Looking forward to towing with it and seeing the difference. We tend to spend a lot of time in the Rockies in the summer and I've had enough white nuckles coming down some declines and using up the truck brakes. I see you have ordered an 2011 BH 3670. We ordered ours in March and have been...

    Banks Speed Brake

Just installed the Banks Speed Brake on my 07 Chevy Classic. Seems to work well unloaded, don't plan on towing for another 6 weeks or so. Just went with the switch as I don't plan on adding a programmer.

    remote control storage suggestions

We've used a Harmony for years, when we sold our house and began full-timing a year ago we simple moved the Harmony to the BH and programmed it for the TV, DVD/Stereo supplied with the 5th Wheel. Yes it has to be programmed for your specific equipment using your computer, but it's not that...

Rockport or Fredericksburg, Texas this Winter??

This is our first winter in TX, we're in Fredericksburg and really enjoying it. Great people, lots of cool places to eat and there seems to be something interesting going on all the time. Never RV'd in the Rockport area but it is probably a few degrees warmer than here in FB. If you like the...

    Cycling hydraulics during extended stays

Proud owner of a 2011 BH 3670, we are full timing and will winter in TX where the unit won't be moved for 5 months or so. A friend in the park with an identical unit (2008) said he had been told to cycle all the hydraulics every couple of months when parked to keep the seals properly lubricated...
