If i's an interior wall sometimes you can just push on the wall and when you find the hard spot thats usually a stud. On the exterior I would try a stud finder.

I don't know about the tri-fold but I took out my couch in my 26LRSS. It will breakdown with the back coming off and the pullout tray coming out. The legs will come off too. Not really all that hard. Did it my self but another helper would be better. It's not heavy just awkward.

We have a NT with the same type hinges. I found superglue worked great. A few drops on the insert, shove it back in, and they have held for 2 yrs now. Takes a few mins to do one. Easier than hitching up and driving to the dealer.
