Additional Info:-----------------------------Arizona Chapter is pleased to announce Lake Havasu State Park will be the Host site for our Winter 2017 Rally. We have arranged a special block for our Rally that will be extracted from the State's reservation system and held until I release the name list and or space, due by the end of 2016. Should we have an exceptional turn out, the entire park will be held for this Rally. Heartland Snow Birds...This is a great opportunity to book early and confirm your activities while Visiting our Great State.
All HEARTLAND OWNERS CLUB MEMBERS ARE WELCOME... I hope everyone realizes what a great opportunity this is for our group! State parks do not block out space in advance of opening reservations to the public and they require payment in full up front for any space blocked. If this works out great, we will use this facility again as every month they have different activities, Pop Festivals, Bluegrass Festivals etc. We could come back here many times and never have the same theme twice. This State Park is directly on the river with a number of sites on the water. We have worked out a super price, $35 on the water and $30 all other sites. No other discounts will be applicable, ie AZ Senior discount etc. Each site has Water and Electrical. Dump station is located on the park and a second one will be added in the near future. The Park is conducting major improvements throughout. New Showers, restroom facilities are currently being installed. They are importing Bright White Course Sand from the Las Vegas area for all the beach front. Aztec gravel is being installed on all campsites. Fire rings at each site and the majority currently have Ramadas. Each site is extremely large with wide open spaces and you will never feel like you have a neighbor on top of you. These are the largest sites I have seen. All Chapter Activities will be held in an area I have nicknamed: Heartland Cove. You are going to be SURPRISED when you get here!!!DOGS: Dogs must be kept on a leash unless in the water. Once the dog exits the water, you must return the leash to the animal. Animals are only allowed on the DOG BEACHES, not the public beaches....Yep they have their own private meet n greet area.
Beach Patrol Team: Jetta, Harley & Dakota, Cheyenne & Peanut. I am designating Peanut as Beach Chief and life-dog, in case the big girls get a cramp swimming.
MAP of Park: http://www.azstateparks.com/Parks/LAHA/downloads/LAHA_Park_Map.pdf
RESERVATIONS: Make your RSVP via this THREAD. I will compile the name list and sites for coordination with the Park Ranger. The Park has a total of 43 Sites. Our block for now is 35 and if we get a great response, I will add the other sites and the entire park will be a HEARTLAND RALLY......No money is due until I am ready to release the name list....then you will be contacted and given the Park Ranger's phone number to confirm with your credit card. Post your RSVP early, once the space is gone and names given to the park, there will be no wait list....Any Late bookings will have to compete with the general public for any space released.
For Early arrivals and later Departures, read post 135 on this Rally Thread. You will NOT USE the State's computerized Reservations system for the Rally Blocked dates...

We were not sure about Havasu (not). Put Ginger and I down. Wouldn't miss this, a beautiful park. And as long as we live here put me down as part of the rat team.

Keep watching the postings, as I have a lot to add over time....My big THANK YOU TO STEVE...our "Location Finder" Prize winner for this one!!! Yep, Steve & Ginger, you have a nice Gold Star to be proud of......I am so Excited about this Venue, I want to go back tomorrow.....and yes My key word for excitement "GONGA" is very appropriate here!!!!! Rick and I ate at the Big Black Bear diner on this inspection....it was a little wait, but the average person cannot eat all the volume of food they place before you! The prices were super as well.....I think they must have a retired Navy Cook in the back from the way they put out food.....Oh...and while we didn't have desert.....you have to see what they serve up!There are so many things to do, see and experience here....it will definitely be a Returned Venue for the Chapter... So now I will work on our Fall 2016 Rally and our next two years will be etched into the Computer world of Communications....Let's get those RSVP's in early, I would love nothing more than to have the Entire State Park for this Heartland Rally.....And you are going to Love "Heartland Cove"......

Wow!

Already planning two years out!

I'll get back to you on this one . . .

We usually don't plan that far ahead . . .

Well, Cathy does . . . I don't!

Can't wait until Tucson!

By the by . . . where is this located compared to Quartzsite? (edit: I found it on the map)

John: This is a better pull for you from Colo and an easier drive....you will go on 40 into Kingman and head on 95 south into one Super Location....

It is about 70 miles north from Quartzsite....And don't worry about your "lack" of planning, I will Call Cathy this evening......ha

I'll have to think about this one, Lake Havasu and Balloon Festival in January 2017. OK John and Debi are there. Being from Calif we will NEED a spot by the water and a cold drink.

Wow - 2 years out and already planned. And I thought I was a planner. And 11 rigs signed up in the first 13 hours. Nice work Garry! Wonder if this rally would be worth skipping the Tampa show for?

Seriously AZ - sounds like a really fun group and your leader has a great time planned for you.

Jim . . .

You HAVE to make either an Arizona or Colorado HOC event!

OR BOTH!

We are a wild bunch of Heartland owners that needs to be taken very seriously!

John - I have made a Colo event. I flew out of O'Hare in a blizzard to Denver. Delayed enough to miss my flight to Gunnison so I rented a car and drove the rest of the way. How's that for commitment :) Had a great time at Bob's rally and met some Colo members for the first time. I have not yet made one of Don and Monica's events.

And you are right, I have not made any events in our new Arizona chapter. I will - one day :)

I'm glad to see you added my name already. Looking forward to it and I'm hoping this will complete my list of camping at all 14 Arizona State Parks with camping.

As well as Garry and the Arizona bunch!

If you can . . . try to make one of our events!
