In case anyone wanted to compare...
I loaded up the quads and spare diesel on my 05 Duramax.
I hit the CAT Certified Scales at the local Flying J Truck Stop.
Here are the weights - and my truck specified weights.
CAT Scale numbers
- steer axle 4360 lbs
- drive axle 6140 lbs
- trailer axle 13080 lbs
- Combined truck/trailer 23580 lbs
- Calculated GWVR (4360+6140) 10500 lbs
My 2005 2500HD Duramax spec ratings
- steer axle max wt. 4670 lbs
- drive axle max wt. 6084 lbs (over by 44 lbs)
- trailer maximum wt. 12000 lbs (over by 1080 lbs)
- Combined truck/trailer max 22000 lbs (over by 1580 lbs)
- truck GVWR max wt. 9200 lbs (over by 1300 lbs)
My 2012 Cyclone 3010 ratings
- trailer max 14000 lbs
My truck seems to handle the load fine. I have air bags, so it looks level.
I can lower my Rear Wheel weight by removing some spare diesel I carry.
Either way I'm over for Pin Weight specifically... I'll be looking at a 1 ton.
