2013 Caliber TV mount

We picked up our factory ordered Caliber a few weeks ago. First thing we noticed was only 2 dinette chairs instead of 4. Dealer had them shipped from the factory, so all is well there. There is also a small gouge in the wallboard of the slide-out that we reported, but nothing has been said or done about that.

However, the TV has no swivel mount -- it mounts flat to the wall. There is a plastic "stand" that came with the instruction booklet. We've contacted the salesperson several times about this and he says he will contact the factory rep, but we have no answer as of today.

Should the TV have a swivel mount? Mounted flat to the curb-side wall, it's not visible from the sofa or the bedroom. Or do we have to "dis-mount" it each time and put it on the plastic stand?

Thanks!

Hi susantr,

Congratulations on your Caliber and welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. There's lots of useful information here along with a great group of friendly and helpful people.

I'm not familiar with the Caliber features, but on our Landmark and most of the other Heartland rigs I've seen, the living room TV is on a fixed mount and doesn't have an articulating arm. Hopefully another owner with the same model as yours will chime in with how their TV is mounted.

It might not be too difficult to change the mounting bracket to one that does what you want. If you do, make sure it will hold the TV securely while towing.
