2018 BH270 water pump issue

Hi all. We’re ready to buy the TT in the thread title, but a weird problem came up during checkout. The water systems work well on city supply, but not with the pump.
To test, We filled a jug of water, and inserted the winterizing line, opened the valve, and it drew, pumped, and shut off as it should. With line removed, leaving the valve open, the pump also draws in air. But when we close the valve, with a full fresh water tank, it just will not draw water out. The pump runs and won’t shut off.

Any reason you can think of that water would not draw out of the tank?

You need to open the valve from the tank to the pump. Should be somewhere close to the pump. The winterize valve is a different line and not the same valve for the pump to draw out of the tank.

That’s exactly what I was looking for, but I do not see a valve on the line between the pump inlet and the tank. There isn’t one showing up on the schematic either. The pump sits under the kitchen sink, right over the tank.

Ours has a two way valve like used on the water heater bypass. Make sure you are turning the valve the right way.
