2020 Fuel 250 Solar Prewire question

I am in the process of installing solar panels on the roof and my unit is prewired for solar.

I cut out the controller location where the sticker said to cut on the control panel.

I found the wires coming from the battery and verified they are hot.

Not sure about the wires from the roof.

I found a loop of black wires that look like the wires on the roof for the solar panels .

Is this how the do the prewire and I have to cut the loop to get a pos and neg cable?

The connectors and plugged in together on the roof.

My next step will be to disconnect the connectors on the roof and check for continuity. If I have continuity I guess I will have to cut the loop.

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

Hopefully another Fuel owner can provide some guidance.

One thing to consider is whether the wire size is a match for the output of your panels. The pre-wiring might be intended for a small solar installation.

Any luck on completing the solar project ? I'm looking for the wires now on my Torque T26 Would love a photo of the wires as you found them (or at least see them connected).
