Can't help with the remote, and if you haven't already you might have to pull the radio and check the speaker wires.
Check the wires at the speakers as well.

If you put an ohmmeter or 1.5 volt battery across the speaker leads you should hear sounds. If not the speaker is blown out. If sounds come out, check your wiring.

If someone can get you the make and model of the radio, you might be able to get a remote using a search on EBay.

I took the other speaker and hooked it up and no sound. It has to be the wire or radio itself. I even checked the wires in the back of the radio. Next thing would be to goto back of radio and hook wire close to the connector and see if works. Then I will know if it’s the wire or radio.
I need to upgrade the speakers and get rid of the fusion any suggestions?

ok, so its not the radio, speaker or connections. Its the wire that runs from the radio to the speaker in the ceiling in front of the couch or TV. Can anyone tell me how that speaker wire is run at the factory so that I can run a new wire?

Disconnect the wires from the speaker and the radio, twist the wires together at the speaker or the radio, ohm the opposite end and this will tell you if it is a wire problem. Next is the hard part. Find where the wires are broken. Heads up...mice can and will eat through the wire insulation and cut the wire.

I ran a wire from the speaker that I pulled out and ran the wire to the back of the radio and the connection and it worked. Pretty much bypassed old wire.

I don't know how the speaker wire is run. But, most likely it runs up the wall behind the TV to the ceiling and across.

If you are in adventurous mood , you could explore the possibility of pulling back the paneling behind the TV. You would have to carefully remove the top and corner trims an then gently release the paneling to pull it back enough at the top to get behind and see. You then may be able to fish a new wire across to the speaker and then down to the radio bay. Removing the speaker first should help. Also a crawl stick might come in handy here. I have accomplished a similar activity in my RV this way.

Alternatively, you might be able to cut an access hole at the top of the wall inside the closet and install an access panel to cover the hole when done. Something along this line

I went towards tv and in the closet drilled a hole then used a fiberglass rod ran the wire to the hole. Then went from back of tv where there was a hole and used my fiberglass rod to run to closet hole where I hiked up wire and then ran down to radio and spliced into the left speaker. (Which is wired backwards) brainiacs

Yup! Must be the same brainiacs that wired our radio so Zone 1 and Zone 2 each had one indoor speaker and one outdoor speaker for each zone.
