2013 3QB Gray Water valve #2 is sticking open. Does anyone know where the actual valve is located and how to access it so that I can repair/replace the valve. I am not sure if it is accessible from inside or from underneath. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Txsag96,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

Not sure which unit you have, but the valve will be right at the tank outlet most likely, so you will need to drop the chloroplast down on one side so you can see the drain lines.

Be sure and check out our Heartland Owners Club. Join us at a rally when you can and meet lots of the great folks here and make friends for a lifetime.

Enjoy the forum.

Thank you for the response. I hate to ask a stupid question, but what is the chloroplast? And are there any diagrams showing where the tank is located

Coroplast stands for corrugated plastic - the plastic version of cardboard. It's the liner that covers the underbelly.

You may have to call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready. They should be able to give you some idea of where the #2 gray valve is located on your floor plan.

If the handle moves freely but the valve wont close. The cable may have came loose at the valve itself. If the handle/cable does not work properly, then there could be something holding the valve open at the tank.

The handle moves begrudgingly but I can tell that the valve is not moving. I don't know if it is stuck or if the valve is broken. I have tried pushing water through the tank to try and remove any debris that may be lodged to no avail.

I had cable that came apart at the handle its self. I was able to re-crimp the coiled spring outer cable cover back to the handle assembly end. You could return your coach back to your dealer or call HL service and have them find an independent shop close to you to have it repaired. HL might even send you the cable assembly and you could install it yourself. Your choice of course.
