4G Speed Tests

iphone 4, not S, not running on iOS5 though.

There's not a untethered jailbreak for iOS5 released to the public as of yet. Which means if you ever restart your phone you would have to jailbreak it again. Once an untethered one comes out then I may do it again myself.

I saw free but the app is called MyWi and it is a 1 time $10 app, this enables bluetooth, wifi or USB tethering. Once you jailbreak there's a thirdparty appstore that is installed that give you tons of additional features that Apple hasn't let go through the official app store.

It's fairly neat but I've been jailbreak free for the last 6 months+ due to being a developer and I've had iOS5 since about June.

Well Charter just hooked me up with some new home internet. Holy crap quick.
First test I did got 102Mbps but I didn't save that one :)

Charter told me their top tier service wasn't capped.
Also, earlier today I was downloading a 10GB game and I was hitting 12.5MB/s. Ridiculous.

Edit:
Actually I just checked again on Charters site and it says the top tier has a 500GB/month soft cap. That's still a lot of bandwidth to burn through. 16.6GB/ day.

Finally - some decent 4G speeds for me :)

I am in Morton Grove, IL (Chicago suburb) this week. Nice speed here on my Verizon 4G MiFi.
