Hey gang, are any of you running a 5th wheel with a tri-fold tonneau cover? Curious if they fold out of the way eough to make it work without fully removing.

We have a Bak Flip quad fold model and fold it against the truck cap when towing.
Left it on the bed once folded up and hit a dip in the campground road. Truck went up, 5th wheel went down. Around a $2000 repair for the damage.

I use a Backflip 4 fold cover with my 5th wheel. Have had it for 7 years. When towing, it's folded back to the last panel. Only had an issue once while backing in a site where the truck was up hill from the site I was backing into. It did scratch the paint on the bottom of the front cap.

I also have a back flip. No issues to date with towing or backing into sites I certainly watch and if I see it’s getting close while backing.. I stop and straighten. Like anything while towing… take your time.

I have a trifecta trifold tonneau cover on my short bed F350 that when folded the hitch is exposed very adequately.

Bakflip quad folded back to last panel to lay flat. 8 years full-timing with no bumps, no hits, and no scrapes.
