Your Cyclone may have the PCS energy management system that automatically sheds load based on comparing power demands against available power. The PCS senses when both power legs are phased the same and assumes that is 30 amps. So if you plug your 50 amp cord into some type of Y device with two 30 amp plugs, the PCS probably sees that as a total of 30 amps or 3,600 watts of power. It sheds loads to fit within that profile. With A/C units, that typically leaves the fan running but cuts power to the compressor.
If you only have a 30 amp pedestal providing power, you might use a standard 50--->30 amp adapter instead of plugging into two receptacles. You may be able to run 2 A/C units if the water heater is running on propane and your batteries are in good shape. But if you have a residential refrigerator, it'll be pretty iffy.
