Aluminum Wheels

I've got it back in storage now, but on the 9th of Oct. will have it home again and I will get some pictures posted.
In a nut shell, what they did was to run a 3" C channel from each shackle across to the shackle on the opposite side of the trailer.
These were welded onto each shackle bracket.
This was done on all three brackets, front, middle and rear. (tandem axle)
They have seen frames ripped out because of the stress on the frame in a tight turn.
I don't know home many of you have patches on the frame in the are of the spring shackle.
Mine has pieces of flat bar, I would guess 1/4" x 2" x about 6" long welded along the inside of the I beam. It runs from the bottom of the I up to about 2" on the web.
This is done on both sides, and came this way from the factory.
Bob, at Clyde's referred to it as a parking lot fix.
Says the factory knows there is a cracking problem and this is the quick fix they do.
I have a 12" frame on BC 3450TS.

Thanks, I will be taking a closer look at mine. I usually load mine short of 500lbs of my max for hunt season. So it would be in my best interest to check.

Thanks,
Ivan
