Changing the valve is probably a 30-minute process.
Have you tried to rotate the handle to reset the O-rings inside the valve? I was able to do that a couple of times, before I had to replace with the brass replacement valve.

Have you thought about the inlet check valve on the water pump

I replaced our old plastic one last year w/ the brass one and it took longer to remove contents from basement and wall than it did to actually swap out the valves. Should have listened to those on here from a couple years ago and did it then. Easy-peazy.

Very easy to replace, directions came with my brass replacement. Very easy to follow....
