Antenna booster for living area.

We have an 2016 Oakmont 385qb. There is an antenna booster in the master that works great. Should it be tied to the living areas tv? There is no booster. I assume they are not tied together since the master had 15-17 Channels and the living got 4. Can you add a booster?

The typical wiring for Cable TV and rooftop antenna goes to the bedroom first, and then splits out to other locations including the living room. If you have the booster ON and have good reception in the bedroom, but not in the living room, there's likely a cabling or connector issue. If you have a coax connector in the basement pass through storage, that's usually the next location after the bedroom. There'll be a splitter behind the wall plate. Check the connections at the splitter. Then check the connectors on the backside of the living room wall plate. You might just have a loose connector.

Yes they are tied together. However if it's a new unit you might need to go trough the entire coach and tighten all of your connections to get everything to work properly. Look in your blue packet to see if you can find a coax wiring schematic sheet. That will help you understand what goes where.

Just as a check, you did put both TV through the channel scan process while set to "antenna"? Chris

You may also have a splitter behind the built-in stereo unit.

I found not only all connections there loose, but also the stereo's antenna was hooked up to the splitter and was shorting out the cable signal to the LR TV.

Right now we have no AM/FM as we are still waiting on the dealer to get us some kind of radio antenna or antenna connection.

The plan is to install an outside radio antenna.
