I've all the hookups in the bedroom cloest but wondering about cutting the hole for the vent. I guess the hole is suppose to be lower then the dryer outlet but how much lower.
The vent must be very close to the dryer vent. If it is off center, up or down or swideways, you will kink the connecting vent pipe and the dryer will not fit in the closit. I know by experience!!!
Attached is the installation guide for the Splendide 2100 combo W/D. You can see from the guide, which shows the vent is on the upper right rear of the appliance and the photo of my rig, that the vent comes straight out. In my floorplan, the W/D sits in the closet facing to the side, not to the rear like newer models. With the newer floorplan, I would guess that an elbow is necessary to run the vent out to the side.
