App for Truck stops along a route

I am trying to plan a trip and I want to map truck stops along a route. I can find websites that you can search for truck stops in states, but I want to be able to map Truck stops along the route. I tried map quest, it shows fuel stops but not specific truck stops. Does anyone out there use an app to map truck stops along a route? This will be our first big trip and I'm a little nervous so I am trying to plan ahead.

Try "RV Parky". http://www.rvparky.com/ on your Apple or Android.

Not perfect, but does show Flying J, Pilot and T/A Travel Centers by area along your route.

Allows filtering of points of interest and CG types. Also shows sleep-over Walmarts and casinos. List's many CG ratings and other very useful info. Very easy to use on a smart phone while traveling. Last, it's FREE with no ads. Trace

I plan my fuel stops for the day before we leave using the Next Exit book. There is also a Web site called Truck Stop Plus which gives you the number of parking places. I usually use the fuel stop as a rest stop also so I like to see that there are a lot of parking places also. Flying J is our favorite place to stop since most have special RV pumps and parking. We use an app called "AllStays" to find fuel stop, reststops and campgrounds. The version we have also shows steep grades, low clearances and several other options that I can't remember right now.

Speaking of the comprehensive Allstays app, not many people know that if you touch the gray bar on top, then click on "Extras", it will show most of the laws for each state that applies to driving or RVing (including whether triple towing is allowed, speed limits, diesel tax, gun laws, etc) and if you go down further, it will show any restricted "main" roads, which is perfect for deciding which route to avoid driving in the mountains.

$10 Allstays version, on the iPad and phone. Great app.

When buying iPads, the cell version gives you built in GPS. You do not need to keep a cellular contract with it (Verizon at least).
Non cell versions of iPads do not have the GPS chip, so not as useful on the road.

X2 on Next exit book, but it only covers interstates.

I also use an app called "around me" which can help you wherever you are to locate food, fuel, hospitals, pharmacies, and more.

We did look at the All Stays app and we were trying to decide between the camp and rv and the Truck stop app. We also looked at the RVparky site too. I am surprised that there is not a map app that you can map a route and tell you the truck stops along the way. I can only see that you have to use another app to route your trip and then look for the truck stops. We tried map quest, and it does show fuel stops but we want truck stops specifically. Looks like there is a need out there! Thanks for info! Getting excited, 5th wheel arrives tomorrow at 7AM! Almost here!

Good tip on ordering new iPad, just about to order a new one and debating on whether we need the cell version, looks like thats a definite yes

This free web site will give you truck stops along a route http://truckstopguide.com/ only problem is it defaults to a practical routing for trucks.

I've also used http://truckstopguide.com/ quite a bit. The output is a list of truckstops along your route, showing the cumulative mileage at each stop. Makes it easy to plan your breaks and fuel stops. You can also click through for details about each stop.

Try the ALONG ROUTE option, typing something like GOLDEN, CO and RATON, NM in the FROM/TO boxes.

This is also a great app! Looks like we have some great tools to get started!!!
