ATF: Bighorn - King Mattress

I want to replace my uncomfortable mattress for a new one. I thought it was a RV king (72x80), but when I measured it, it was 70x80. Is this right and if it is do I have to have it made special or are they sold standard.

That should be a King Bed. I measured the opening in the slide for my King Bed and it measred 72x80 and my mattress was a tight fit. It was not a good mattress, so we had a custom, all natural foam rubber mattress made and had it made 71x80 which, fits great in the opening allowing us to pull it out easier.

We replaced ours with a memory foam 72"x80", 8" thick, "RV King" mattress from from Plushbeds.

It is an excellent mattress for the money. No complaints about it and it fits the space very well.

The Heartland specs are 70x80 for kings.

I'm just saying our 72x80 fits the space well and you don't have to buy a custom size mattress. Trace

bobowill, you are right the OEM mattress is 70X8o but the 72X80 mattress will fit. We bought a camping world select air that measures 72X80. Couldn't be happier.
That said, the air bed was a lot lighter than others so we lost a few pounds in pin weight.
