Here are a few pics of the flexible tool that was in the manual package. I cannot find the diagram anywhere. But once you take the fireplace out (4 screws), the tool fits upwards through the holes in the shelf under the tv. I hope this helps.

That's the same tool used for some electric slides.
Is that a #2 square drive bit added?

Dave, I do not know the # of the bit. It came attached to the flex tool. Not sure if it is big enough for the slides. It is half the width of my pinky fingernail.

When used for a slide that bit should pull out of there.
It looks just like the tool that I have, sans bit.
