Awning annoyance

This is a minor problem with the awning, but thought I would ask to see if others are having this annoyance. We have a BH 3670, when we go to put the awning out---the arm next to the door seems to stick and the awning starts to unroll--we need to stop and jiggle the arm for it to unstick and catch up the slack and then continue to operate the awning. I tried lubrication near the bolts,(on the arm) but that did not seem to help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have same problem on both arms on my front awning. I do have it adjusted for max downward slope. I haven't found a solution yet.

The arm may be out of alignment with the section mounted to the wall. When I retract mine, I have to get on a ladder to get the forward arm to seat properly. Doesn't seem to hang up on extension, though.

Mine was doing that,I had to realign the fabric by removing the screw in the rail and sliding the fabric about an inch.

Hi Don,
Yes, both thumbscrews are loose---appreciate the advice--seems like others also have the issue
