Awning Gas Stabilizer

I have an 09 Sundance 2900MK. The gas shock on the right side seems to have failed. The electric awning will not extend or retract without my help on the right side. How difficult are these shocks to replace and where can I purchase them?

Take a look on the awning roller for the part/model number information. If it's Dometic (likely), you'll probably have to get it from them unless you can find a third party source. I recall looking at one of mine and there is some information printed on it. Could be the operating specs that would allow you to find a replacement. Unfortunately, it looks like Dometic sells it as part of the entire arm assembly.
