It's hard to diagnose problems long distance, but one thing I would check would be wires on the switch itself. One may have come loose. I don't know much about the remote.
What model and floor plan do you have

This is interesting. I have the same problem right now. I can hear clicking from the panel behind the switch when I use the remote but the awning wont go out. When I press the awning out button in the cabinet it doesnt make any noise and I dont see it trying to move. Hopefully someone will chime in on this one.

I would first check for power at the switch and the plug at the motor, if you can get near it.

The clicking noise (probably a relay) would imply to me that your switch panel has power and your transmitter and receiver are working. If the problem is not a wiring/fuse problem between the circuit board and the awning motor, then I would bet it was the contacts on that relay. I saw an awful lot of that on 12 volt power switching relays used in the fleet of rechargeable battery EKG machines I maintained at the hospital. I was usually able to pull the cover off the relay, burnish and contact spray the relay contacts, and get the relay to work again. Some were so pitted they had to be replaced.

Did it ever work? I am just wondering if maybe the switch is wired backwards from what the wallplate indicates? Awning out. would actually be awning in etc. I read somewhere that this was an issue on some trailers but cannot remember where I saw this.

My experience: put the awning out. When it was time to retract it that night it would not roll in. Between skeeters and dark tackled it the next day. Tried the over rides etc etc. nothing worked. Power at switch, power at motor but no workie. Deduced it must be the motor. Took things apart and found that one of the brushes was not making contact with the armature simply because the wire was hung up not allowing the brush free movement in the race. Freed it, reassembled and zero problems in two years.
