awnings extension problems

We just purchased a 2014 Sundancer 322RES T/T and are have problems with one of the awnings not extending properly Unfortunately we did not have the dealer fully extend the awnings to full open on our walk-thru and had the trailer delivered to a permanent camping spot before we found the problem. Our problem is the front awning extends completely and there is plenty of head room to walk under. The back awning on the push-out when extended is only 5' from the ground. We have called the dealer and supposedly after much argument with Heartland they agreed to send new hardware for the awning. The problem is the new hardware is exactly the same as what is on the trailer now. There is not a defect in the hardware, the installed/supplied hardware is not designed to have the proper angle. As you can see from the picture, even with out the deck the awning would hit someone in the head trying to walk under it. Has anyone else ran into this problem. Am I missing something or should this be an no brainer to expect a fix.

thanks for all input

Just pulling up a file with archive photos of that model with an awning over the DS slide, it looks like they mount a full size awning, same as the "main" awning. The arms are going to bring it closer to the ground than the main one, simply because it's mounted lower. If those are manual arms, they should be adjustable so that you can extend them and raise the awning roller higher.
