Battery drainage when not disconnected (Greystone)

After learning the hard way, I was told by the dealer that I MUST unhook battery wires or there will be a slow drain on batteries during storage.
I read in the manual about this disconnect panel switch on "some models" is installed to prevent battery drainage BUT since my Greystone didn't have one..I did not consider the drainage issue.

So, I hope this is correct (that there will be an electrical draw on the battery) and I don't have an electrical issue of some sort.
I have tried looking for an aftermarket switch that looks like the one shown in the manual for my 33CK and no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction. I have already seen the types that connect directly to the battery and really don't care for that flip style disconnect.

You can probably buy one from Heartland Customer Service. Call up with your vin number in hand. They are very accommodating and will ship it to you wherever you are.

I installed one of THESE in our Bighorn. Very simple once you determine a suitable mounting location. There are other styles available at many RV accessory dealers.
Since this is not really a "Factory" related subject, I'll move it into the 12 volt section.

We put one on ourselves - bought one like jmgratz's at the local marine store.
Left our batteries in the RV all winter, ~6 months with the switch "open". Closed the switch before our first hookup this year and we still showed full batteries. We're sold! Always had to recharge the batteries before heading out each season before we had the switch installed.
Our storage is out in the open, but we're in a mild climate here in the Seattle area.

Yes there is parasitic draw. Your LP detector and radio are the main culprits. We disconnect our battery and bring it home when we drop our coach at the storage facility, but a battery disconnect would be a good solution as well.

We also have the marine battery switch, mounted it between my batteries. Just have to give it a twist and ready to go.

Go to Amazon and search for "battery disconnect". I bought the Park Model brand for boats and RVs and it works like a camp. Less than $20 I think. Hook it to your negative side of the battery to the frame. When hooked to your tow vehical you will still have power to your RV because your tow vehical is suppling the power. You will need it in the on position for your battery to recahrge from the converter when you are plugged into 120 volt.

One problem with that, is that it needs to be in the on position when towing.
If not, the breakaway switch will not activate the brakes if you loose the trailer.
