Mine is mounted on the inside edge to the left of yours (as in picture orientation). Almost blinded myself pulling the cable, turns out dirt collects well below that point! LOL glasses, wear them!

You are not kidding, I definitely recommend wearing glasses. I keep my truck clean but there was a lot of dirt up inside there.
