Bedroom slide motor

2015 Sundance 285TS. When trying to move the slide in or out, the back portion of the slide seems to lag and then the whole movement stops. I have to reverse the switch momentarily and then can drive in the proper direction for a few seconds. By the tune the slide is fully in or out the back is still 4 to 6 inches from being fully seated. I've tried running it all the way in both directions several times as per the heartland customer service but it didn't help. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Something that I would be taking it to a shop to have them look at rather than continue to run it in and out. It sounds like something is catching/dragging which can only be trouble if you continue to exercise it. I am surprised that it has not popped a breaker if it is catching.
