Boyd's, Key West??

Boyd's is on Stock Island just north of KW and the closest commercial rv park to down town KW. We've looked through it, and it is nice but very close quarters. It will handle big rigs. It books up early for the peak season (Nov thru Apr) and expect to pay $100/night.

Only U.S. military (active duty, retired, 100% disabled vet and senior DoD civilians) can stay on the two USN Fam Camps on KW, and that is where we have spent winters since 2000. The USN camps (Sigsbee and Trumbo) can handle more than 500 rvs, but only 90 sites have hookups - the rest are dry camp with a two week rotation out of hookups into dry. We don't take a car but ride bicycles everywhere around KW.

Boyd,s is a very nice campground and will handle big rigs, there. Is a campground about 10 miles north of there called bluewater and it is beautiful and will accommodate big rigs. Right now we are at a campground on grassy key which is
mile 59 but it is nice, right on water and good fishing. We have our boat hear. They have a nice pavilion, would be a great place for a rally.

We stayed at Blue Water...great place. Trying to plan a trip to meet friends...staying in KW would be more convenient.

Blue Water RV resort is 14.5 miles from the Key West. Awesome place to stay with a big rig! Plenty of room and a lot of the site are on the water...
