Bulb replacement

Can someone tell me how to get the 3" diameter round flat bulb covers out of the ceiling? I need to replace a bulb over the stove area.

They twist out.

Pull down on the glass fixture just far enough so you can grasp the metal can, then while holding the can, twist the glass slightly counter-clockwise.
