Camco Defender

Has anyone tried one of these yet? $69 MSRP and as low as $42 on Amazon seems like a good deal. But will it be enough? Seems to cover all the fault conditions. And is 1050 joules enough protection?

I looked at the site and it says its a Camco 55310 Power Defender Circuit Analyzer.
Don't think it gives the same protection as the higher priced protectors .It says its an Analyzer??
i have a 50Amp EMS Surge Protector hard wired in the RV.
Don't like the ones that hang off the post , too much money hanging that can just disappear .
When it comes to protecting whats inside your RV I would not go cheap, electronics are not cheap to replace or repair.

It may not cover as many conditions as the more expensive ones but it has to be better than nothing.

From what I read all it does is diagnose the circuit for problems and has some surge protection, but does not provide protection for harmful drops in voltage which can also injure some of the equipment in your rig.
