campgrounds in the Denver. CO area

Does anyone know of campgrounds in the Denver, CO area that have full hookups and allow 1 to 2 month stays? We have stayed a Chatfield State Park and love it but they only allow you to stay up to 14 days.

Hi pennystaff,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

There are a few parks in Golden, which is on the NW corner of Denver. The state parks are pretty nice, as you know, but do have a 2 week limit. But if you book early, you can go back and forth between Chatfield and Cherry Creek.

I'd advise not staying at the Jellystone Park in Larkspur, South of Denver in Larkspur, unless you like trains, and noise from the interstate. There are train tracks that border the park, and next to them is I-25. Trains all hours of the day & night going slow enough that once (we work camped there one summer) I saw a butterfly going faster than the train!!! There are several campgrounds in the Colorado Springs area if you want to be a little way out of Denver.

I believe they are a Good Sam park as well.

Located at Highway 285 (Hampton) & Federal Blvd.

My mother-in-law lives there in a double wide, but they have lots of RV sites and offer monthly rates.

This is not a scenic park but more of a community park.

And this place is right next door on the other side of the golf course: http://www.flyingsaucerrvpark.com/

We haven't stayed there yet, but is on our list for when we want to get away without going to far away!
