Campgrounds near Grand Canyon

Trailer Village is most definitely the place to stay on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Full hookups to include cable tv at a very reasonable rate. Just a half mile or less walk to the Canyon and an even shorter walk to the cafeteria, store, gift shop and post office. The shuttle has a stop at the check in booth so you can get around the whole south rim free of charge. A female elk walked through our site the last time we were there and posed for photos before moving on. The last time we were there the facility was operated by Xantera (spelling?) and we had to make reservations through them rather than the park. We were told that another company has since bought out Xantera. The other campground nearby did not have hookups, but did allow RVs at some sites.
