Cleaning Vents on my BH

What is involved with cleaning the duct work filters on my BH ceiling? Do the vent covers just pop off and the fiber filters just come out? I plan on using some light soap and water to clean the filter material.

Yes, I think you can just stick all of your fingers of an open hand in the vents and gently pull straight down. The filter is foam. I've had better luck using a hand vac to clean them first, then wash in sink. You don't want all that fuzz down the drain.

If possible, buy or make a second set of filters, then swap them out quickly and clean at your leisure.

Do check them often. It is amazing how fast the dust and lint builds up on them!
