Continual Modification to our 3210

I am lagging in posting pics of the mods to our 3210 so here we go.

Ramp Door Deck
I finally got tired of the bucket and orange lego blocks for turning the ramp into a deck and we are at a great site for being cantilevered over the water. With research from this years RV show and reading porthole's "And so it begins" I now have a deck for about $100 spent at home depot and an hour or so.

Another mod

Garage Office "Man Cave"
Need to be able to quickly establish an office once onsite and the toys unloaded from the garage. Another trip to Home Depot for a stock counter top with backsplash; order 2 16 inch heavy duty (750 lbs per pair) folding shelf brackets from Rockler (# 65806); and two rugs from Walmart (Perfect fit for the 10' garages. With the desk stored my Harley fits perfect.

Thanks. Island Resort Campgrounds just outside of Ocean City in Berlin, MD off 113. It is a great location, not to busy plenty of space and most sites back up to the lake!

Whole trailer freshwater filter - just enough space to fit inside the convenience center, hard plumbed into the city connection but can be disconnect and swiveled to fill the water tank. Supplies form Lowe's for the filter (cheaper then the RV store version and has metal threads for durability, Sharkbite fittings with pex pipe. The mount is only attached to the metal so I can still remove the panel for winterization.

Mod I did last year.

Got to fly the colors whenever we are camping... and helps to find the trailer... ;-) As with most mods this is another to help me be lazy while out. Two 22 foot 2" Flag Pole Buddy mounted to rear of the trailer, the poles remove and collapse to 4' and be raise to different 4' increments. I keep trying to talk my wife into more but she thinks four flags are sufficient, jury is still out...

Looking good. Thinking about switching to the D-rings like you used for the upper hooks.
I put mine inside because I can leave teh chains on with the door closed. But, If the "eye" is not angled correctly it will bind against the ramp.

So more of a repair, I like many others suffered door root on the garage door. We found some interesting issues with the way the door was manufactured. First, the interior aluminum structure is not welded together and relies on the 1/8 plywood and the external aluminum edging to hold it together. Second, they did not use any sealant around the door nor are there drains so water sits inside the frame rooting the wood.

This took most of an afternoon to complete and the hardest part is detaching and attaching the door. Fortunately we had set up our door for deck use and used the mounts to attach a pulley system to assist with the awkwardness of the door.

My welder was not setup for aluminum and we of course were in a hurry to get out of town so I used brackets from Home Depot to help transfer the spring load of the door up its vertical support and since I was not confident in the 3M spray adhesive to glue the aluminum to the foam.

So the 3M did not work, did the necessary research and re-adhered using Gorilla Glue, of course it started to rain... No problem G Glue is water activated.

We have traveled 2,000 miles on this trip from temperatures in 40-110 degrees. Loaded and unloaded motorcycles and have had it in deck mode almost everyday! Repair holding great!
