Converter humming

Greetings,

Here I am again with another question, you all are the best and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you very much for all your input. We have a 2014 Road Ranger 305 toy hauler and our converter seems to be constantly humming when plugged into shore power. Is this normal? I am mostly boondocking and don't want to have an issue while out in the boondocks.

Thanks

How are your batteries?
How old are the batteries?
Do the batteries last for a long time while boondocking?
Have/are you boondocked in this rig yet?

I am changing out the batteries this week, unfortunately, the guy I purchased the unit from let the batteries run completely dry and ruined them. I have not camped with this trailer yet as we are in Idaho and it is way too cold to camp and ride. I also have a 200 watt portable solar system and all LED lights so the batteries will last very well as this has been my setup in other trailers for years.

I usually run the generator to make toast in the morning and perhaps heat something up for dinner and of course if it is really hot out I run the generator to run the bedroom AC so I can get to sleep.

Do you know what brand and model of charger/converter do you have? I believe that the Progressive 9200 series has a lifetime warranty, although that may not be valid if you are the 2nd owner.
