Cycling hydraulics during extended stays

Does absolutely no good to run them in and out. Waste of time and wear and tear on the slide mechanism. The slide rollers will wear out way before you wear out a hydraulic cylinder. If you are concerned about the rods get under there and wipe them off with WD40. They are chromed to allow them to stand up for many years. You will have a lot of other things replaced before you start replacing hydraulic cylinders. We have cylinders that have been sitting outside on implements for 30 or more years and they do get rusted and a little pitted after a few years and they still work just fine. (they only get used during the cultivation or growing season) The ones we have to put new seals in are the ones that get used the most when raising the implements and this is after thousands of cycles. The cylinders on the coaches are pretty well protected. You have better things to spend you time doing.
