Does anyone use a dash cam ? If so, what brand. With all the crazy drivers, thinking of getting one.

I know that Bob Curry (Texas Bobcat) uses one but I don't know too much about the brand. Hopefully he will see this post and give some information on what he uses.

Been using one for about 3 years now. It has proved its worth 3 times to date, with the last time 4 weeks ago when and ambulance crossed the center line and wacked my mirror, a $760 fix. I bought mine off EBay for $20 and a $30 memory card. Don't let the low price deter you. I was so impressed, I bought one for all my vehicles and my kids vehicles for Christmas.

We've been running this one since December. So far it has worked really well, especially given that I paid about $80 for it. https://www.amazon.ca/AUTO-VOX-Dashboard-Capacitor-Internal-Recording/dp/B00UUQD9L6.

Not only is the video quality very good, it's quite small. I'm amazed at the number of people inside my truck who don't notice it there.

I have the Cobra CDR 840 from Costco, the picture quality is really good, but the connection for the power cord is really cheap. The weight of the cord pulling down on the connector has made it loose so at times the power cuts off and I have to jiggle it every once in a while.

I wouldn't buy it again.
