Dinette slide out

New to this RV, am having a dinnette slide out problem. It won't close and be flushed with the RV. I have a inch gap. Have tried numerous times and different locations as I am heading out from PHX to Oregon. Can anyone help? CDee

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

Have you checked on top outside of slideout for a limb or something that might prevent it from coming all the way in and your sure it is not hitting anything inside? What unit do you have will help letting some of our other members give you some info also. Is this slide hydraulic or cable operated?

There is a library of manuals on this website under the "Tools" tab at the top of each webpage. A manual for your slideout is most likely there, but we need to know your trailer's Brand, model and year to maybe have a guess which of the 6 or so slideout types it is.

You might have better luck by calling Heartland Service at 877-262-8032 tomorrow morning with your VIN number at the ready. They can either advise you, or e-mail you a document on adjusting your slide.
