Need Direct Tv dish (not roof mounted) and receiver. Don't care if they are HD or not. Just switched from Dish and have to start over again. Should have saved my old Direct equipment but I didn't.

We have gotten a couple of dishes free from people who were moving. DirectTv doesn't move the dishes so all you have to do is just take them down from the house's. In our area, we have an electronic store that sell just the receivers for under $100 buck (I think the last one we got was just $79 and it was much littler that the standard unit. Then all we did was call to activate the card. Remember tho that we are already DT customer so all they did was activate the receiver and added the $6 to our account for the additional unit.

Just have it installed at the house?

Thanks for all your suggestions. Forgot about Craigslist and the web site is great. Direct wants to charge me more than $150 to come out and hook up a receiver beacause I didn't include it my original installation and that doesn't include an additional dish.
