DISH subscription cancelled

Well, the trees around our campsite have grown to the point that all satellites are blocked. We had a signal in May, but now that the leaves have appeared, no joy. DISH sent a tech to try and find a signal, but he couldn't either. So, I disconnected our account since we only use it at the CG. Won't miss our favorite shows, though, since I can pull them up the next day using my Verizon MIFI and Xfinity account on the laptop. Connect a HDMI cable to the TV AND voila! And the DVR at home is recording them, too.

A little, but as I explained the situation, they acquiest. I had called to drop it yesterday, but they offered the free tech visit for today, so I gave it a shot. I was hoping his locator gear was better than my DP Pro phone app, but nope, it was not. And according to the tech, my GM1518 automatic is as good as the bigger dishes. It's all line of sight to the satellite arc and this far north, it's fairly low to the horizon.
