Dometic NDR 1219 Venting Fans

Gang:
While unpacking my refrigerator after a trip on a warm day, I turned off the main refrigerator power and kept hearing the venting fans run. They stopped a couple of minutes after I turned off the refrigerator main power switch. Evidently they run on direct 12 volt power through their control thermostat. Should I be worrying about this as a 12 volt battery drain while in outside storage in the warm weather?

When you say you pulled the main power for the refrigerator, did you pull the 12 volt fuse for the refrigerator?
Fans will drain your battery while in storage.

Peace

No, Dave, I just turned off the refrigerator power switch. To my mind this should turn off ALL refrigerator power devices. I am thinking that the fan thermostat will not get hot enough to turn the fans on unless the heating source for the refrigerator operation is on, so the fans should not run by themselves in normal storage.
