Drain hoses on 28BH

Hi, I have a 28BH 5ver and I noticed two extra drain hoses close to the steps. They have the same connection as the fresh water drain. I am assumming these are the drains for the hot and cold water lines? Are these what I would use to drain the hot water heater?

Those are low point drains for the hot and cold lines. However, to drain the hot water heater, you need to take off the HWH cover and remove the large (probably rusty) plug near the bottom ot HWH. I believe it is a 1 and 1/16" hex nut which also has the HWH anode on it. This is best done when the water is not hot (just take my word for itNone).

Before removing the anode plug be sure to relieve the pressure in the water lines. I didn't relieve the pressure..... once.
