Elkridge 34 TSRE Weight Question

We are very interested in purchasing the Elkridge 34 TSRE, we love the floor plan...my husband thinks it's too heavy for our truck...we have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 ext cab - short box. Is anyone pulling this fifth wheel with a 3/4 ton diesel? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated...

we have a 2012 34qsrl and tow with 07 dodge ram 3/4 6.7 diesel.I installed air bags just for a little extra support,WE have had it out 2 times 1 short trip under 50 miles,and 1 trip 1600 miles with enough stuff for a week. Did not have any problems and always felt safe inculding mountain driving,but do have a engine brake that helps greatly in mountain driving hope this helps somewhat!
