Got an email from GM, they finally have the new trucks and options posted on the site, no price yet.
Some highlights:

"Denali" 2500HD, like the Sierra wasn't enough $$$

397 HP 765 ft lbs at 1600 rpm

*** 15,600 pounds 5th wheel towing from a 2500!

The 3500 is now available in a crew cab short box

Exhaust brake standard

Lot of nice new features on the '11 truck too bad they are so expensive.

Certainly one of their biggest improvement is the standard 36 gallon fuel tank. I also like the larger wheels.

And don't forget that on the Fords and GM's you'll have to run down that UREA.

It'll be standard on all diesel trucks of the future. Eventually Wallyworld will carry it along with the major auto supply chains. Plus with the increased fuel mileage on the new 2011's it'll more than offset the $3-$4 a gallon cost for urea

15,600 has been the FORD standard since 2008:eek:.

I have been saying for years on the weight Nazi threads that the badge on the truck has no relation to what they were designed to haul. The 250/2500's of today can put to shame the old 350/3500's of yesterday of what the can haul and tow.

I was just talking to my son who drives truck for a living and he said the truck stops already carry the urea. He said it can be bought in gallon jugs and some places have pumps like we already fuel with to fill. He said the price was a little over 2 bucks a gallon , can't remember exact price.....Kenny

I work part time at a MF ag dealership and the new tractors are coming with UREA. It is really a pretty good deal. You can take an engine and without loading it up with a lot of power robbing emission parts extract more horse power out of it. We are testing tractors that have the same basic motor and the ones with UREA are putting out gobs more horse power. Along with that you get better fuel economy. A tank of UREA will last a long time.

Does anybody know what Ford and Dodge have for the GVCW rating on there 350/3500's. The 2011 Chevy/GMC's are 27500 GCVW. Just curious.

What the tow rating is depends on factors like engine, 2 wd or 4 wd, rear end ratio, crew cab or standard cab, etc. Check out the Ford website and all of the tow rating are there. Pick the type of truck and go from there. Mine is rated at 26000 GVCW and is a 2010 F350 Crew Cab, 6.4 L, 373 rear end auto, 4wd. BTW the 2011 Fords have an optional fifth wheel hitch and exhaust break and built in trailer brake controller. The truck is born to tow. Also has an anti-sway control system built in.
