Anyone who has a Landmark 5er that they tow with a Chevy 3/4 duramax diesel I'm curious ifthe 3/4 ton is adequate? We live in the west with many mountains that exceed 5000 ft with grades of 6%.

No! With that weight you need a dually. The duramax will pull it but that rig will have a high pin weight. There are people using 3/4 ton trucks. Do you own a truck now? I used to live in Oregon and plan on going back with the rv. Thats why I have a Dodge 3500 DRW with E brake.

You really need to go to the F450 or bigger if you want additional braking on the TV. Check the brake size and you will see why.

I agree that a 1-ton dually is a bit small, and a 450/4500 is a better truck to pull these large heavy units. Our Landmark weighs in at about 16,500, so the GCVW is 26,000# none of the 1-tons are rated high enough to have any safety margin.
