We went to the rally last year. Normally you should be able to check in after about 12pm.

Although the campground ran out of spaces, and I will not be able to attend, I thought I would give all potential attendees a heads up about the possibility of smoke in the air from the Rim Fire at the rally. This morning the Sacramento KCRA weather had a map up with air-smoke conditions. Jackson made it just into the red, unhealthful level. Although Sacramento was not shown as having smoke problems on the map, I could smell it this morning, and the weather person said that the Rim Fire was the cause of this smell in Sacramento. This fire smoke seems to come down the mountains during the cool of the night, and be most prevailent in the lower elevations during the early morning. The fire IS now 80% contained, and burning in higher, less forested elevations now, so the smoke should be lessening this week.

It is with a very heavy heart that my DW and I will be unable to attend the rally in Jackson this year. I had back surgery on August 22 and I'm restricted to sitting in the truck and driving this distance from Reno to Jackson. I do know that if we were able to drive that far that all the Heartlander's would help me set-up and tear-down our rig. This would have been our first rally and we were so looking forward to being there and meeting everyone. Please use our deposit for the food, door prises or whatever..

We are at the California Central Valley Heartland Rally at the Jackson Rancheria RV Resort. This is our first heartland rally and enjoying every minute. Thank you Donna and Chuck and Lori and John for convincing us to attend.

Attended our first Heartland Rally this weekend at Jackson. We meet many new friendly people, toured each others rigs, had a great steak dinner & raffle prizes, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. A very big thank you to Jon & Lori for putting this all together for us to enjoy! See you all in Temecula. Sandy & Rick Dyer

My thanks to Heartland, John and Lori, and all the volunteers who put on this fun rally at this terrific park. The casino wasn't generous, but the after-potluck prize raffle was - I had to start refusing prizes ( I had the winning tickets for 5 or 6) after I won 2. The extra day's stay to catch all the TV sports was good for the A's, but bad for the 49ers.
See you all down the road, and at next year's rally!!

Thanks to everyone who made this a very good rally. Good food both at the potluck and the Saturday dinner, the tri-tip was excellent and done to perfection. The RV poker run was fun and gave everyone a chance to see various rigs and meet the people who were attending their first Rally. It was great to see so many new people.We are looking forward to the Regional Rally next month at Temecula.
