I wanted to let Dave and the rest of the Iowa Rally attendees know that we will not be able to attend the Octoberfest Rally this fall. The Amana RV park has been notified as well.

On Saturday, September 11th we were involved in a major wreck with our Sundance which caused both the truck and our Sundance to be totally destroyed. Miraculously, Betty and I escaped with minor injuries, along with our cat and dog who were with us in pet carriers in the cab.

We plan to replace both truck and 5th wheel and get back into the game, but as for now we are without a trailer and tow vehicle for the first time since 1992. Hope we can locate another Heartland that meets our needs.

I am glad to hear you and Betty survived the accident with only minor injuries and understand your situation why you won't make the rally this year. Good luck with everything as you recover.

Gremlins got my truck transmission this weekend, Not sure if I will have a tow vehicle yet to get my RV to/from rally. Truck won't get looked at until wednesday.

I plan to still some how host the rally since I live in Iowa City.
