Finally, here is the rally update we said we’d post when we got home from our winter travels. We have several activities planned and hope that everyone will have FUN!
PROGRESSIVE TEAM TRIVIA will, once again, be a four day event with the combined totals for each team determining the winning team. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded on Sunday evening. The current plan is for the competition to be held each evening at 5:00 in the Recreation Room. Coincidentally, for many of us, that is also when the drinking light is lit! Hmmm...wonder if that will help with team scores!!! But remember, prizes are awarded for both the highest scores AND the lowest scores!!!
Sue Hickman has volunteered to host BUNCO. A game is planned for Thursday evening after dinner and, if there is enough interest, again Sunday afternoon. Sue has done this at other rallies and everyone who has played, has had a great time! (THANKS SUE!)
There will be a GOLF outing on Friday morning at the course adjacent to the RV park. Dan Sullivan has agreed to manage the event! We plan to have some starter gifts and prizes for the winning teams. It will be a scramble format with teams selected randomly (or by bribes). Currently, the following people have stated an interest in playing: John Kramer, Lee Limpach, Bob Sargent, Mike Bromley, Dan Sullivan, Doug Anderson, Sonja Nisson, Angela & Richard Limpach, Ed & Pam Klopfer and Paul & Candy Hardt. Please contact Dan at dansully53@yahoo.com to confirm that you will be playing (or not, if I got my information wrong). Anyone else who is interested, please let Dan know ASAP that you want to play.
On Saturday morning Sonja Nisson and Doug Anderson will present a BEGINNING FLY FISHING CLASS. We will provide a nice manual for participants and will review some of the material. Casting lessons will be given and we’ll have rods you may borrow to practice casting. Please let Doug know if you want to attend: grampafish1@gmail.com. There will be a few other new and experienced fly fishers at the rally and perhaps we’ll get out to a local stream. And FYI -for those attending the Oregon/Idaho rally, the Payette River flows by the McCall RV Resort!
Saturday afternoon, we’ll hopefully have a BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENT, if the court is playable. Come one, come all....no skill required!
Of course, there will be FOOD and DRINK! The Washington Chapter will host a taco bar dinner on Thursday night. Friday dinner is on your own, but there will be a WINE & WHISKEY TASTING WITH SWEET TREATS in the evening. Saturday dinner will be steaks and chicken provided by our sponsors, RnR RV, along with potluck sides. Since Sunday is Mother’s Day, we’ll celebrate with a special MOM'S DAY BRUNCH hosted by the WA chapter.
FYI - we will NOT be having a raffle at this rally.
Be sure to check out the schedule below for times and more details!
