We are still in the RGV, and just heard on the news that a man had gone to Mexico from Harlingen to get dental work done, and is now missing. Didn't hear the whole story, and can't find it on KGBT channel 5, where we heard it. They said he flew down here, rented a car & drove across, apparently going to Progreso. It sounded like he was alone.

That's not good to hear. We're considering going over again tomorrow to the pharmacy.

Here's the link...http://www.valleycentral.com/news/story.aspx?id=718055#.TzUqWlxtq04 Found it on Channel 4...apparently he was driving into Matamoros or Reynosa...BIG Mistake!! walking into Progresso is a whole nuther story....never feel threatened there, just be alert and never take a vehicle. There are other stories and warnings from US/Mexican governments about carjackings on the roads leading to interior cities...
