Can you please tell me how much weight this can support. Is it possible to hang cup hooks or a metal fruit basket from the wood?

I would have no problem with that, but take it down when motoring. One, it would increase the shock load in the bumps, two, it would most likely come down by itself.

I agree. There is a lot of bouncing and shaking going on. The glass fixtures are not light and only have a plastic threaded washer holing them in place. I addressed this in this link: //heartlandowners.org/showthread.php/50500-3110-light-fixture-over-sink?p=402015&highlight=#post402015

It is designed to strictly be decorative, and not support additional items on it. It is screwed into the roof rafters in the ceiling.

That said, the glasses are lightweight plastic. We stow them on travel days.
